February is almost over. How is that possible? I hope this new year is off to a great start for you and your family.
I know spring is just around the corner, because the pack and I have been watching the birds. Right outside our sunroom are two large crabapple trees. In the summer, it feels like I’m sitting in a treehouse. In the winter, the birds come to the feeders in the lower branches. This time of year, the migratory birds stop by. They come to gorge on the little red berries. But recently we’ve been seeing flocks of robins, so spring has to be here soon!

THIS will be a very special occasion. 2020 is the 20th anniversary of my publishing career. In August 2000, my debut novel, A PERFECT EVIL was published. This summer, HIDDEN CREED will be my 20th novel. Twenty books in twenty years in 2020!
That calls for an extra special celebration!
I hope you’ll join me on Saturday, October 17 at the Hilton Capitol District in downtown Omaha for lunch, some conversation, special gifts, lots of fun and even a surprise or two.
If you’ve been to the luncheon before, you get to buy your tickets first. If you haven’t attended, come join us. Last year 150 readers came from 14 states. It has truly has become a wonderful reunion, with many of the guests making friends, enjoying Omaha’s Old Market and even going to the zoo.
I do have to warn you, tickets can sell out quickly. Last year we were able to move to a larger venue, but sometimes that isn’t always possible. So if you would like to join us, please consider getting your tickets early.
HIDDEN CREED is Book #6 in the Ryder Creed series. We’ll share the cover and pre-order information with you very soon. Here’s a glimpse:
During a training exercise, Creed’s scent dog, Grace, is drawn off course and discovers a shallow grave. The body was never meant to be found, hidden deep in an isolated part of Florida’s Blackwater River State Forest. The remote area has no easy access in or out. The killer obviously hoped his secret would be scattered and swallowed up by the forces of nature. When Creed’s dogs continue to find more remains, investigators quickly realize they’re dealing with someone who knows the forest intimately and has been using it to hide his handiwork for years. Soon they’ll also discover just how far he’s willing to go to stop them and keep his secrets hidden forever.
There’s a whole lot to look forward to this year. I’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, thanks for reading my books.
